Terms and Conditions

Different terms and conditions apply depending on which type of a course you choose. Please go to the proper section and read it carefully. This is very important, especially if you sign up for an approved course in order to apply for permanent residency in Norway.

Accredited Course approved by UDI as obligatory Norwegian Instruction

1. Username and password

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access our online learning programs. The username and password are for your personal use only; do not disclose your login credentials to family members, friends or any third party. If you find out about unauthorized use of your password or account, please contact us immediately.

Sharing your account with another person will automatically invalidate your course. Any account activity can be monitored by CampusOnline and abuse can be detected.

2. Cancellation right

You have the right to cancel your subscription and get a full refund within 14 days from the date of purchase. Please note that if the course has begun, you can only get reimbursed parts of the course fee. There are no possibilities for canceling the course or partial refund of course fee after the cooling-off period.

3. Carrying out the course

In order to successfully complete the accredited course you will have to commit to the following terms:

  • Complete all the assignments and solve exercises in the online program all by yourself.
  • Work systematically and follow the learning plan provided by your tutor.
  • Meet up for Skype sessions with the online teacher and deliver assignments according to the agreed schedule.
  • If you need to cancel a Skype appointment, please notify your teacher or administration at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled meeting.
  • Should you fail to meet for a scheduled Skype appointment without previous notice, you will lose the session and will have to buy new extra online classes with your tutor.
  • If your impression is that you do not receive sufficient assistance and support from your tutor, please notify the administration of CampusOnline immediately.
  • Please remember that only a few hours of consultations with your personal tutor are included in your course package. You will be able to add extra tutoring hours to your package when filling out the registration form.
  •  If you decide to keep the number of online tutoring hours at a minimum, please keep in mind that completing the course will depend very much on your individual effort and independent work with the online learning program.

Accredited Norwegian courses offered by CampusOnline have to remain in compliance with UDI’s and VOX’s guidelines for Norwegian language instruction for newly-arrived immigrants and as such should combine students’ individual work, completing exercises and producing texts, with online supervision sessions. At least one hour of online classes should be dedicated to conversation training. If the student fails to meet these requirements, CampusOnline will not be able to issue the certificate of approved Norwegian instruction.

4. Technical support

If you experience any technical problems with the program, please report this to info@campusonline.no. Specifying the type and version of the operating system and web browser you are using, as well as attaching a print screen, will help us process your inquiry faster.

5. Suspending the course

You are eligible to suspend the course once during your course period, but only for 2 weeks. You will be able to resume the course exactly where you left it. Suspension of the course beyond this can only be granted under certain conditions.

6. Course certificate

CampusOnline will issue a certificate within 2-4 weeks from completion of the course. If you for any reason should need to receive the certificate at an earlier point, please make sure to inform administration at CampusOnline as soon as possible, preferably upon the start of the course, and no later than one month in advance. The certificate will state the exact amount of hours you have completed while working with the online learning program, but maximum the hours included in the course (60, 120, 250 h. etc.). During the course you may check your progress and the number of hours completed so far in your user profile under the activity log. Please remember that the number of hours confirmed on your certificate is limited by the total number of online tutoring hours included in your course package.

7. Documentation requirements for accredited instruction

Please mind that a documentation of 250/550 hours’ instruction in Norwegian and 50 hours’ in social studies is required for application for a residence permit or an application for citizenship. This documentation will be considered valid by Norwegian authorities only if the whole course of your Norwegian instruction has been subsequent to the date of your first residence permit. Rules and regulations regarding these requirements are subject to changes and vary according to citizenship. Please consult UDI for more information (www.udi.no/en/)
